1. Hệ thống kiến thức
1.1. Tenses
- Future Simple Tense (Thì tương lai đơn)
(+) S + will + V1 + ...
(-) S + will + Not + V1 + ... (will not = won't)
(?) Will + S +V1 +...?
- The simple past tense (Thì quá khứ đơn)
(+) S + V-ED/ V2 + O
(-) S + did + Not + V1 + O
(?) Did + S +V1 +...?
1.2. Possessive Pronouns (Đại từ sở hữu)
Đại từ sở hữu bao gồm các từ mine, yours, his, hers, ours, theirs.
Chúng ta cần chú ý phân biệt Tính từ sở hữu (Từ hạn định sở hữu) và Đại từ sở hữu
- Tính từ sở hữu phải LUÔN LUÔN bổ nghĩa cho một danh từ đằng sau nó.
- Sau đại từ sở hữu ta KHÔNG dùng thêm danh từ bởi vì bản thân nó đóng vai trò như một cụm danh từ.
1.3. Comparisions (So sánh)
Superlative (So sánh nhất)
Short adj: S + to be + the + adj + est + Noun/ Pronoun
Long adj: S + to be + the most + adj + Noun/ Pronoun
Comparative (So sánh hơn)
Short adj: S1 + be + Adj – er + than + S2; S1 + be + Adj – er + than + O/N/Pronoun
Long adj: S1 + be + more + L-adj + than + S2; S1 + be + more + L-adv + than + S2
1.4. Articles (Mạo từ)
- Chúng ta dùng a/ an với danh từ đếm được số ít khi chúng ta nói về các danh từ đó một cách chung chung.
+ Mạo từ a + danh từ đếm được số ít bắt đầu với phụ âm: a book
+ Mạo từ an + danh từ đếm được số ít bắt đầu với nguyên âm: an eraser
- Chúng ta dùng the với danh từ số ít hoặc số nhiều khi chúng ta đã biết các danh từ đó hoặc các danh từ đó được đề cập lần thứ hai.
Ví dụ: The air is dirty. (Không khí bẩn)
1.5. Conditional Sentence Type 1 (Câu điều kiện loại 1)
+ Cách dùng: diễn tả những thứ có thể xảy ra ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai.
+ Cấu trúc: If+ S + V, S + will/ won't + V
Ví dụ: If you use less paper, you will save a lot of trees. (Nếu bạn dùng ít giấy hơn, bạn sẽ cứu sống nhiều cây)
1.6. Wh-question words
- When - time (Khi nào - thời gian)
- How many - number (Bao nhiêu - số lượng)
- How often - repetition (Thường xuyên như thế nào - sự lặp lại)
- What - thing (Cái gì - vật)
- Where - place (Ở đâu - nơi)
- Who - people (Ai - người)
- Why - reason (Tại sao - lí do)
Ví dụ: What is this? (Đây là cái gì?)
