It is one of the strongest structures ever built. It has survived for over 4,500 years, and is the only wonder that still remains standing today. They were also provided with housing while they worked on the Great Pyramid. But these men did not work on the Great Pyramid just for money. The pyramid was considered to be a national project. So men worked on its construction with a sense of honor. They felt that they were special to work on something so great. The Great Pyramid gave the people of Egypt a sense of national pride that continues to this day.
