I - Cấu trúc của câu mệnh lệnh trong lời nói trực tiếp và gián tiếp
1. Cấu trúc của câu mệnh lệnh trong lời nói trực tiếp
1.1. Mệnh lệnh khẳng định bắt đầu bằng một động từ nguyên thể.Ví dụ:
“Sit down”, Ms Brown asked Tom. (Cô Brown bảo Tom là “Hãy ngồi xuống”.)
1.2. Mệnh lệnh phủ định luôn bắt đầu bằng Don’t và sau đó là động từ nguyên thể.Ví dụ:
“Don’t talk”, Ms Brown told Tom. (Cô Brown yêu cầu Tom “Đừng nói chuyện”.)
1.3. Mệnh lệnh mang tính chất lịch sự:- “Please + V ....” hoặc “V ..., please.”
Ví dụ:
“Take a seat, please” Ms Brown told Tom’s mom. (Cô Brown nói với mẹ Tom “Mời chị ngồi”.)- “Please + don't V ....” hoặc “Don't V ..., please.”
Ví dụ:
“Please don’t be so worried”, Ms Brown told Tom’s mom. (Cô Brown nói với mẹ Tom “Chị đừng lo lắng quá”.)
2. Cách chuyển câu mệnh lệnh từ lời nói trực tiếp sang lời nói gián tiếp
2.1. Mệnh lệnh khẳng định: S + told / asked + O + to V ….Ví dụ:
“Sit down”, Ms Brown asked Tom.
=>Ms Brown asked Tom to sit down. (Cô Brown bảo Tom ngồi xuống.)
“Take a seat, please”, Ms Brown told Tom’s mom.
=>Ms Brown told Tom’s mom to take a seat. (Cô Brown mời mẹ Tom ngồi xuống.)
2.2. Mệnh lệnh phủ định: S + told / asked + O + not to V ….
Ví dụ:
“Don’t talk”, Ms Brown told Tom.
=>Ms Brown told Tom not to talk. (Cô Brown yêu cầu Tom không được nói chuyện.)
“Please don’t worry”, Ms Brown told Tom’s mom.
=>Ms Brown told Tom’s mom not to worry. (Cô Brown nói mẹ Tom đừng lo lắng.)
II - Cấu trúc của câu yêu cầu trong lời nói trực tiếp và gián tiếp
1. Cấu trúc của câu yêu cầu trong lời nói trực tiếp“Modal verb (Can, Could, Will, Would) + you + V …?
Ví dụ:
“Can you see me after class?” Ms Brown asked Tom. (Cô Brown hỏi Tom “Cuối buổi học em ở lại gặp cô nhé”.)
“Could you stay for a moment?” Ms Brown asked Tom’s mom. (Cô Brown hỏi mẹ Tom “Chị có thể nán lại một lát được không?”)
2. Cách chuyển câu yêu cầu từ lời nói trực tiếp sang lời nói gián tiếpS + told / asked + O + to V ….
Ví dụ:
“Can you see me after class?” Ms Brown asked Tom.
=>Ms Brown asked Tom to see her after class. (Cô Brown yêu cầu Tom ở lại gặp cô ấy sau giờ học.)“Could you stay for a moment?” Ms Brown asked Tom’s mom.
=>Ms Brown asked Tom’s mom to stay for a moment. (Cô Brown yêu cầu mẹ Tom ở lại một lúc.)III- Cấu trúc của câu diễn tả lời khuyên trong lời nói trực tiếp và gián tiếp
1. Cấu trúc của câu diễn tả lời khuyên trong lời nói trực tiếp
1.1. Thể khẳng định: S + should + V ….Ví dụ:
“You should work harder on your English”, Ms Brown told Tom. (Cô Brown nói với Tom “Em nên học tiếng Anh chăm chỉ hơn”.)
1.2. Thể phủ định: S + should not (shouldn’t) + V ….Ví dụ:
“You shouldn’t play video games too much”, Ms Brown told Tom. (Cô Brown nói với Tom “Em không nên chơi điện tử quá nhiều”.)
2. Cấu trúc của câu diễn tả lời khuyên trong lời nói gián tiếp
2.1. Thể khẳng địnhS1 + told / advised + O + (that) S2 + should + V ….
Ví dụ:
“You should work harder on your English”, Ms Brown told Tom.
=>Ms Brown told Tom that he should work harder on his English. (Cô Brown nói với Tom rằng bạn ấy nên học tiếng Anh chăm chỉ hơn nữa.)
2.2. Thể phủ địnhS1 + told / advised + O + (that) S2 + should not (shouldn’t) + V ….
Ví dụ:
“You shouldn’t play video games too much” Ms Brown told Tom.
=>Ms Brown advised Tom that he shouldn’t play video games too much. (Cô Brown nói với Tom rằng bạn ấy không nên chơi điện tử quá nhiều.)bởi Vũ Minh Khang
