- Quy tắc đối với danh từ đếm được và danh từ không đếm được:

+ Với các danh từ đếm được, chúng ta dùng "a" hoặc "an" và dạng số nhiều.

Ví dụ: an apple, apples...

+ Với các danh từ không đếm được, chúng ta không dùng "a", "an" hoặc dạng số nhiều.

Ví dụ: juice, water…

- Chúng ta dùng "much" với danh từ không đếm được.

Ví dụ: much milk

- Chúng ta dùng "many" với danh từ đếm được.

Ví dụ: many books

- Chúng ta thường dùng "any", "much" và "many" trong câu hỏi và câu phủ định.

Ví dụ: We don’t have any apples. (Chúng ta không có quả táo nào)

- Chúng ta thường dùng "some", "any" và "a lot of" với danh từ đếm được và danh từ không đếm được.

Ví dụ: some milk, some pens…

- Dạng của động từ theo sau like, prefer, hate và don't mind là động từ thêm –ing

Ví dụ: I like playing football. (Tôi thích chơi bóng đá)

- Phát âm của dạng -ing của động từ run, sit và swim là running, sitting, swimming

- Chúng ta dùng "there was" và "there wasn't" với danh từ số ít.

Ví dụ: There was a pen on the table. (Có một cây bút trên bàn)

- Chúng ta dùng "there were" và "there weren't" với danh từ số nhiều.

Ví dụ: There were many books there. (Ở đó có nhiều sách)

1.5.1. Cấu trúc

- Tobe: S + was/ were ………….

- Động từ thường: S + V2/Ved………..

Ví dụ: I learned English yesterday. (Hôm qua, tôi đã học tiếng Anh)

1.5.2. Quy tắc

- Các động từ có quy tắc (Ved) có dạng quá khứ kết thúc với -ed.

- Các động từ bất quy tắc (V2) không có dạng quá khứ kết thúc với -ed.

- Các động từ trong thì quá khứ đơn có dạng giống nhau đối với các chủ ngữ I, you, he, she, it, we và they.

- Dấu hiệu nhận biết: last, ago, thời gian trong quá khứ...

Last week, Hung had a sore throat. And she coughed a lot. Hung's mother gave her some tablets of amoxicillin and asked her to take them. But Hung did not relieve. So she had to stay at home 3 days from Tuesday to Thursday. On Friday, Hung's aunt, Mrs. An visited her family and she suggested using honey, ginger, salt and lemon juice to mix together. She asked Hung to drink a little sometimes. After 2 hours, Hung felt more pleasant. One day passed, Hung's disease almost disappears. Thank for her aunt's visiting, Hung had a special cure for her sore throat.
