Cách phát âm -ed chính xác, đơn giản và dễ nhớ

CÁCH PHÁT ÂM -ED CHÍNH XÁC, ĐƠN GIẢN VÀ DỄ NHỚ

1.1. Quy tắc phát âm “ed” – /id/.

“Ed” được phát âm là /id/ trong hai trường hợp sau:

Động từ tận cùng bằng /t/ hoặc /d/: wanted, invited, needed,….

Tính từ tận cùng bằng ‘ed’: interested, bored, naked,…

Eg: She was invited to the party yesterday.

(/ invaitid/ )

He is interested in go fishing.

(/intərəstid/)

1.2. Quy tắc phát âm “ed” – /t/.

“Ed” được phát âm là /t/ khi động từ có âm cuối là các âm vô thanh sau:

Voiceless sound	Example
/p/	stopped : /sta:pt/
/k/	looked: /lu:kt/
/f/ ~ gh	laughed: /læft/
/s/	missed: /mist/
/∫/ ~ sh	brushed: /brə∫t/
/t∫/ ~ ch	watched: /wa:t∫t/

Eg: Because of the cold weather, I have coughed for a week. ( /kכft/ )

Mẹo nhỏ ghi nhớ: Thôi không (k) phì (p) phò (f) sợ (/s) sẽ (/∫/) chết (/t∫/).

1.3. Quy tắc phát âm “ed” -/d/.

“Ed” được phát âm là /d/ khi động từ tận cùng bằng các âm hữu thanh còn lại, bao gồm các phụ âm dưới đây và nguyên âm:

/m/	screamed: /skrimd/
/n/	opened: /oupәnd/

/ろ/	massaged: /mәsaろ/
/dろ/	changed: /t∫eindろd/
/ð/	breathed: /briðd/
vowels: i,a,o,…	worried: /wз:id/

Eg: They organized ( /כrgənaizd/) the 10th anniversary for their company.

1.4. Lưu ý:

Tính từ tận cùng bằng “ed”, “ed” luôn được phát âm là /id/

Phân biệt tính từ đuôi “ed” và đuôi “ing”:

- Tính từ đuôi “ed”: dùng để miêu tả cảm xúc của con người, hay con người cảm thấy như thế nào: bored, interested, tired, excited,...

- Tính từ đuôi “ing”: dùng để diễn tả cách con người cảm nhận về sự vật, hiện tượng khác: boring, interesting, exciting, …

Eg:

+ Whenever I see my sister’s dog, I feel so frightened.

(Bất cứ khi nào tôi nhìn thấy chú chó của chị tôi, tôi đều cảm thấy lo sợ.)

+ My sister’s dog is so frightening.

Chú chó của chị tôi rất đáng sợ.
