CÂU CẢM THÁN TRONG TIẾNG ANH
1. Hệ thống kiến thức
1.1. Khái niệm
Câu cảm thán là những câu nói ngắn mà bạn thực hiện khi bạn rất ngạc nhiên hoặc buồn bã. Chúng không phải luôn luôn là toàn bộ câu. Đôi khi chúng giống như một tiếng ồn hơn là một từ (người ta gọi là thán từ)
Trong câu cảm thán thường cấu thành bởi các từ như: HOW, WHAT, SO, SUCH
1.2. Cấu trúc câu cảm thán với “What”
What + a/ an + Adj + danh từ đếm được (số ít)
Ví dụ:
What a lazy dog?
(Thật là một con chó lười nhát?)
What + Adj + danh từ đếm được (số nhiều)
Ví dụ:
What lazy dogs?
(Thật là những con chó lười nhát?)
What + Adj + danh từ không đếm được?
Ví dụ:
What beautiful weather?
(Thời tiết thật là đẹp?)
What + a/an + Adj + N + S + V?
Ví dụ:
What a beautiful girl I saw before?
(Cô gái thật đẹp tôi đã nhìn thấy trước đây)
1.3. Câu cảm thán với “How”
How + adjective/ adverb + S + V
Ví dụ:
How hot it is?
(Trời thật là nóng?)
How well he sings?
(Anh ấy hát hay làm sao?)
How + subject + verb?

Định nghĩa thán từ là gì?
Thán từ (hay còn gọi là từ cảm thán) là một từ hoặc một nhóm từ được sử dụng để biểu thị cảm xúc. Dùng để nhấn mạnh hoặc để thu hút sự chú ý. Nó không có ý nghĩa về ngữ pháp trong câu nên nếu lược bỏ cũng không làm câu mất đi nghĩa ban đầu.
Ví dụ:
Rất nhiều từ cảm thán chỉ gồm một từ
Sử dụng dấu chấm than để biểu thị cảm xúc mạnh mẽ hoặc giọng nói lớn lên trong lời nói
What a pity! (thật đáng tiếc)
What a lovely day! (Thật là một ngày thật dễ thương)
What rubbish! (thật là rác rưởi)
How silly! (thật là ngu xuẩn)
How kind of him! (thế nào anh ấy lại vậy)
She shouted at him, “Go away! I hate you!”
(Cô hét vào mặt anh, “Đi đi! em ghét anh)
He exclaimed: “What a fantastic house you have!”
( Anh ấy nói: bạn có ngôi nhà thật là tuyệt vời)
“Good heavens!” he said, “Is that true?”
“Help!”
“Shut up!”
“Stop!”
Interjections – Oh!
Expletives – Damn!
Greetings – Happy Xmas!!!
Calls – Johnny!
Commands – Stop!
Expressions of surprise – What a mess!!!
Emphatic statements – I want to see you now!
Attention-getters – Listen carefully!
Loud speech in dialogue – I’m in the garden!
Ironic comments – He paid, for a change! or . . . for a change (!)
Strong mental attitudes – “Hardly!” he thought
