In order not to/so as not to/not to + infinitive

Ex: She spoke softly in order not to/so as not to/not to wake up the child.

a) Form: Thì tương lai đơn đc tạo thành bởi will hoặc shall(sẽ) theo sau là một động từ nguyên mẫu.

- Shall được dùng với I/We

- Will được dùng với các chủ ngữ khác.

I/ We + shall + infinitive

You/They/He/She/It + will +infinitive

• Will đc rút gọn thành 'll trong văn nói và văn viết.
• Shall ko đc rút gọn trong văn viết.
• Dạng phủ định của shall là shan't.
• Dạng phủ định của will là won't.

b) Use: Thì tương lai đơn được dùng để tiên đoán cho sự việc có thể xảy ra trong tuơng lai nhưng không chắc chắn.

a) Lời hứa: (promise)

Ex: I'll buy you a bicycle for your birthday, dear.

b) Lời yêu cầu

Will + you + infinitive

Ex: Will you hold the door open for me, please? 

c) Lời đề nghị giúp ai

I + will infinitive.....

Shall + I + infinitive........?

Ex: Do you feel cold? I'll get a coat for you?

Shall I get a coat for you?

d) Lời đề nghị

shall + we + infinitive.....

Ex: Shall we go for a swim tomorrow?

Match one part of a sentence from column A with another part in column B. Then write a complete sentence by using in order to/so as to. (Em hãy ghép một phần câu ở cột A với một phần câu ở cột B, sau đó viết câu hoàn chỉnh bằng cách dùng in order to/so as to)

Mrs. Tuyet: Yes. Will you open the window, please, Nga?

b) Mrs. Tuyet: My book is on the floor. Will you give it to me, please?

c) Mrs. Tuyet: Will you answer the telephone, please?

d) Nga: Do you want to listen to the radio?

Mrs. Tuyet: No, thanks. I always watch the news at 7 pm. Will you turn on the TV, please, Nga?

e) Mrs. Tuyet: I'm thirsty. Will you pour a glass of water for me?

Nga: Of course.

f) Nga: Are you comfortable?

Mrs. Tuyet: No, I'm not. Will you get me a cushion, please?

Work with a partner, look at the pictures. Make requests, offers or promises. Use the words in the box and will or shall. (Em hãy cùng bạn em xem bức tranh này rồi đưa ra các lời yêu cầu, đề nghị hay lời hứa, dùng từ cho trong khung và will hoặc shall.)

c) Will you study hard, please?

I will study harder.

d) Will you carry the bag for me, please?

e) Will you hang the washing, please?

I shall hang the washing for you.

f) Will you cut the grass, please?

I will cut the grass for you.
